Steve not only cooks everything from scratch, but he also takes time out to enjoy a cocktail or 2 or 3. All the way from England, Steve has bought his creative flair from many years of experience. Once worked for Sir Richard Branson on his private Necker Island. Cooking for many famous names.Steve not only is the proud owner of this new cafe but he is also a very proud father to his son George Hunter Hitchings. Gunter is Austrian for – Good Looking

Gunter has also travelled from a distance, leaving behind friends and family in Austria to bless us with his presence, great ideas, and once again many years of experience.

Gunter is the one that thinks about everything before going ahead.Very cautious yet still is willing to take a risk.

His motto – No Risk No Fun, and another favourite of his – What doesn’t kill you makes you a stronger person.

Gunter always looks forward to sharing an Austrian Schnapps with his guests, to finish the day with good Health.

Cautney jumped across the ditch to gain more experience as a chef here in Australia. After not so many years, but a lot of hours, sweat and hard work she found herself in the company of Stephen and Gunter working together in the kitchen at The Swiss Grand Hotel Bondi Beach. Having gained experience in both the kitchen and the Front of house ,the 3 of these well enthusiastic Chefs set off to open Treehops Restaurant in 2006.Since then it has won the Best Restaurant in a Resort Award. Four years later after gaining the locals trust and friendship they have decided to further their reach by opening The Flying Duck Cafe.
